A cornerstone of my teaching philosophy is that learning cannot be greatly achieved without experiences. It is the difference between having a young person read a book on driving cars before driving, versus having them try driving in a safe and controlled environment before attempting the real thing. We would expect two very different outcomes! Below are links to examples of experiential learning activities that I have created:

-
Rent-seeking and NCAA Division 1 football recruitment (as published in JEE)
-
Using upper-level economics students as expert witnesses in mock trials (a cross-disciplinary assignment with LENB students)
-
Environmental Economics Cost-Benefit analysis of hydroelectric dam renovation
-
Economics in three acts: teaching economics with acting
-
Files in development
-
-
Federal Income Tax Form-1040 Simulation
